A Horn Lake resident reported he was the victim of a scam commonly called a pigeon drop, according to the Horn Lake Police Department.

A Memphis woman said she is not guilty of killing someone by injecting concrete into their buttocks.

Natasha Stewart made her first court appearance in Hinds County, Mississippi Wednesday.

Stewart faces multiple charges including murder.

The victim died last spring from a blood clot that doctors said was the product of black market surgery.

Stewart is an adult entertainer who goes by the name Pebbelz Da Model.

She was arrested in early January by the deputies with the Shelby County sheriff's Fugitive Apprehension team.

She was a fugitive from justice wanted in Jackson, Mississippi by the Hinds County Sheriff's Department.

Stewart's trial starts this July.

Mississippi State University student accounts hacked

Mississippi State University officials are investigating a possible security breach after a computer hacker claimed to break into school computers.

The hacker claims to have access to the user-names, actual names and passwords of 929 students.

A Mississippi State spokesman said steps are being taken to protect the university.

The university reported in a release that no secure data was breached.

It also said the hacker was based in Brazil.

"Cyber-crimes and 'hacking' plague Fortune 500 companies, the federal government, and unfortunately is a reality in higher education as well," said MSU President Mark Keenum.

A Mid-South man has plead guilty to a multimillion dollar fraud scheme.

Federal officials charged 44-year-old Evan Dooley of Olive Branch with commodities trading violations.

Four years later and home's Christmas decoration still being vandalized

A horn lake family is dealing with a real life Christmas Grinch tonight.

They said every year for the last four years vandals have damaged the huge Christmas display in their yard.

"We've had christmas lights destroyed light strings broken, we have $50 of candy canes in our yard and every year we lose four or five of them," said family member Christine Jones.

Jones family members said vandals also destroyed a number of halloween decoration the put in their front yard.

"Ah it gets real frustrating when you are trying to brighten up the neighborhood and let people enjoy the season, not just christmas but any season," said family member Michael Jones.

They're asking anyone with information about the vandalism to call the Horn Lake police department.
