Olive Branch Citizen's Police Academy | Events

The Olive Branch Police Department is hosting the 12th Citizen's Police Academy Class March 7 through May 9.

Citizens get a chance to take a closer look to what police do on a day-to-day basis.

Also, citizens get to see the functions officers do including investigations, procedures, K-9 operations, DUI and traffic enforcement.

Classes are once-a-week from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

This event is open to all Desoto County residents 21 or older, and space is limited to around 25 participants for the class.  To sign up for this free class visit: www.obms.us and download your application, fill it out and e-mail it to lswindall@obms.us or send it to 10470 Hwy. 178, Olive Branch, MS or drop it off at the Olive Branch Police Department. Applicants must pass a background check and have no felony convictions. The deadline for applications is February 22.
