Photo Gallery | Former patient donates bears to St. Jude
Ethan Menne has a living room filled with more than two dozen bears for his birthday — but the generous young boy isn't keeping the bears for himself.
Ethan received about $200 for his 10th birthday.
He told his mother he wanted to use it to make bears for kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Ethan was once a patient at St. Jude.
He was the first patient at the hospital to be treated for a rare bleeding disorder called Glanzmann's Thrombasthenia.
He had a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated donor, and is now fully cured.
All of Ethan's birthday money was spent on making 22 bears.
