(WMC-TV) – An Action News 5 staffer caught these ghouls getting amped before Friday’s Memphis Zombie Walk.

The undead were making a quick stop at an Olive Branch Starbucks before invading Beale Street with a hoard of other zombies.

But the zombie walk isn’t just about getting to scare tourists and test out your costume making skills. It’s also about helping the needy, according to the group's site.

What makes the whole event even better is that we raised more than 750 pounds of food and $100 for the Mid-South Food Bank, once again proving that it’s possible to do something completely crazy and fun and still doing good works for the community.
